Scarlet's Way Blog

Hello lovely followers and animal lovers!

This blog is about my business, products, Scarlet & Sammy antics and whatever else I want to talk about. I definitely have a passion for animals. I love finding new products and being inspired by others. I thought I would start a blog because I was hoping others would be inspired by me. Thank you for following!

Sweet Potato Skins!

By Kayla : September 24, 2015 7:46 pm

My one pup Samantha has had problems with allergies since forever. She not only suffers from environmental allergies but food allergies as well. Since she suffers from these allergies all treats like the ones I sell at my boutique are off the table. Giving her the most limited ingredient treat still causes her to have a flare up. This led me to sticking to basic and all natural for her. One of her favorite treats, which, is not only tasty but actually very healthy for her is homemade oven baked sweet potato skins! Days or nights I cook with sweet potatoes I will save the skins, coat them with a little bit of olive oil (which is also healthy for the coat) and bake them in the oven at 350 degrees. Once they are crispy I remove them from the oven, let them cool and serve.  It makes for a crunchy, delicious treat perfect for my girl. Plus Scarlet gets a chance to indulge in the yumminess as well! Below is a photo of the finished product.

We Moved!

I can not believe a project I call Scarlet’s Way 2.0 started back in September 2013 has finally come to an end. It has been such a long and bumpy journey but I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity. I never thought starting my own business at the age of 22 would lead me to where I am today and I would have the chance to take my business to the next level. And in the midst of everything my business celebrated it’s 3 year anniversary. I hope my customers will love my new location as much as I do! Newly built location

We are Moving!

As previously mentioned in 2014, the new year was going to be an exciting one for Scarlet’s Way. At this time, I am delighted and thrilled to announce that our customer’s loyalty and continued patronage has helped me to grow my business. Because of my customer’s support I was able to expand and will be moving into my newly built location within Sugar Loaf. It has been a long journey but very much worth it. I hope my customer’s will be just as excited as I am!

Donation Drive!

Finally getting the chance to post this happiness! On February 22, 2015 I dropped off donations at Middletown Humane Society. I hope all of the animals enjoy their goodies. I could truly tell the staff who are a part of this organization have passion, dedication, drive, and love. It is always a pleasure being able to do this every year and owning my own business allows me to give back to community. If it were not for my awesome customers it would never be this successful.

I Love my Customers!

What a great day! A new customer came in today looking for treats for her dog with allergies. She told me that she had been to a big box store trying to find a treat she could give her pup, but couldn’t read the label on the bag. When she approached another customer in the store she suggested she visit our boutique since we know all about dogs with allergies. I can thank our mascot Samantha for that! It’s such an honor to know that the word is spreading! I truly love getting to know our customers on a personal level and take pride in knowing they are leaving our boutique happy and satisfied!”

Welcome 2015

This year is going to be filled with lots of excitement. We will officially be celebrating our three year anniversary in June along with moving to our new location! We will still be in the lovely Sugar Loaf but just farther up the road from our current location. Our journey to move to our new location has been in the process for over a year. There are definitely times where I just want to throw in the towel but I know in the end it will be well worth it for not only Scarlet’s Way but for my customer’s as well.  It is also giving me the chance to revamp everything (look, vibe, design). Almost like I get to start all over again and create something fresh.  Designing my current location was very fun for me, so having the chance the do it again is pretty great.  I also have some surprises up my sleeve. I hope my customers are just as excited as I am and I hope they enjoy it just as much!
